Q. Which areas do you cover?
A. I cover Ripon, Northallerton, Knaresborough and Thirsk (within a 15 mile radius of Ripon).

Q. Do you offer manual or automatic tuition?
A. I currently offer manual tuition only.

Q. Will I need to pick up or drop off other pupils during my lesson?
A. No. I offer one-to-one driving tuition and your lessons will be structured around you. If you pay for a one or two hour lesson that is the amount of time you'll get behind the wheel.

Q. I've never been behind the wheel before? Am I ready?
A. Of course! If you're over 17 years of age and have a provisional license, you are ready to start learning with Duncan Beckwith. Some pupils are a little nervous to begin with, but I'm confident you'll quickly get over those initial jitters. My lessons are structured to help you progress towards independent driving.

Q. Can I take my driving test right away?
A. You must pass your theory test before attempting your practical driving test. Once you have your theory certificate, you are eligible for your practical test, but I recommend you ensure that you're fully prepared before committing to booking the test. My lessons are designed to cover all the fundamental aspects of driving which you will be expected to demonstrate on the big day. If you are confident and have mastered all the basics, you'll have a much better chance of passing first time!
